With VISION 2024 on the horizon, we reached out to Zebra Technologies to learn more about what they will be presenting at the trade show in Stuttgart, as part of our special print issue of MVPro Magazine.
There, we spoke to Tom Lambert, who outlined Zebra’s plans for the event, including what they will present, and which industries benefit most from these solutions.
Tom Lambert, Machine Vision Specialist, EMEA, Zebra Technologies, revealed:
“Zebra’s booth (Hall 8 Booth B40) will feature more than a dozen machine vision hardware and software demonstrations, highlighting the flexibility and capabilities of its rapidly evolving portfolio. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about and interact with Zebra’s Aurora machine vision software suite.
“Other featured demos include two different examples of deep learning anomaly detection – one PC-based and another on a smart vision sensor. There will also be demos of the Zebra 3D vision portfolio, using Zebra’s 3S Series 3D sensor and AltiZ profile sensor with Aurora software.
“Zebra’s machine vision solutions are used by machine builders and manufacturers in the automotive, electronics, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage sectors. These industries and their suppliers work to high standards of accuracy, quality and compliance.
“The materials, components and factory environments give rise to more challenging use cases which traditional, rules-based machine vision systems struggle with, which is why deep learning machine vision is needed. Our portfolio of hardware and software offer scalability and flexibility, which engineering teams value, along with the solutions and expertise our machine vision partners bring.
“VISION is an opportunity to spend time with customers and partners and learn more about new innovations and trends in EMEA and globally. We also get to meet prospective customers and talk about their business, current challenges and how machine vision can help. The event presentations provide quality thought leadership alongside the many booth demonstrations.
“Zebra’s Donato Montanari, vice president and general manager of machine vision, will be giving a presentation about how the cloud will deliver end-to-end AI machine vision solutions, so come along and hear more on Tuesday, 8 Oct., 12:00 – 12:20pm, Hall 8 Booth C70. VISION is also a celebration of our industry and how machine vision makes important contributions to manufacturing growth.”
