VISION 2024 is now officially in the books! For three days, the industry came together in Messe Stuttgart to present the latest innovations. The 31st edition of the world’s leading trade fair for machine vision set a new exhibitor record and saw an impressive increase in the number of visitors.
During our visit, we spent some time at the LMI Technologies booth. There, we caught up with Len Chamberlain, LMI’s Chief Commercial Officer. Len gave us a tour around the booth and guided us through some of the innovative solutions they had on show.
LMI Technologies demonstrated a range of 2D and 3D technologies at VISION, combined with their GoPxL software platform. GoPxL is an embedded software application for creating end-to-end, web-based, inline measurement and inspection solutions deployed on Gocator® 3D Smart Sensors
It was designed to combine technologies from several sensors and produce a complete 3D inspection. It incorporates multiple forms of artificial intelligence, meaning users can have rules-based tools and AI-based tools for tasks such as anomaly detection.
Len showed us several more solutions, including one that greatly benefits battery production, an area in which LMI Technologies is heavily active. We were also treated to a game which demonstrates how LMI robots use AI and their snapshot sensors to pick objects.
