MVTec Software will showcase its machine vision portfolio at this year’s HANNOVER MESSE. From April 22 to 26, 2024, visitors to the world’s most important industrial trade fair can get a comprehensive picture of MVTec’s products at booth G24 in hall 9.
Customers and people interested in machine vision, such as system integrators and companies in the production and automation environment, will gain in-depth insights into the many benefits of these powerful machine vision technologies.
Since its foundation in 1996, MVTec has been one of the global technology leaders in machine vision standard software. MVTec HALCON is the comprehensive standard software for machine vision. The software is extremely powerful and suitable for all machine vision applications.
MVTec MERLIC is a no-code software that supports especially beginners in creating complete and high-performance machine vision applications. Finally, the free Deep Learning Tool simplifies image labeling and provides optimal preparation for the deep learning methods of HALCON and MERLIC. MVTec’s software products are used in almost every industrial sector and are particularly suitable for demanding inspection tasks, completeness checks, reading barcodes and data codes, optimizing human-robot interaction, and many other applications in industry and automation.
Product demo shows inspection of printed circuit boards for logical defects
In order to give visitors an understanding of the benefits of the machine vision software and its practical applications, the MVTec experts will be presenting a product demo from electronics production: The demo will show how printed circuit boards (PCB) are inspected for defects as part of quality inspection.
The focus will be on the deep-learning-based Global Context Anomaly Detection technology, which is part of MVTec HALCON. The feature is capable of reliably identifying completely new variants of defects. For example, it can detect missing or incorrectly installed components on PCBs or faulty labeling and perform completeness checks. This function is particularly useful in all industries that require completeness checks, quality checks, defect detection or print inspections during their production process.
MVTec is part of the AI Guided Tours
This year, MVTec will participate for the first time in the Guided Tours organized by HANNOVER Messe. As part of the “Artificial Intelligence” Guided Tour, MVTec experts will explain the company’s own deep learning technologies, highlight the benefits for users and demonstrate them on the basis of the trade fair demo.
