Basler Receives Axia “Best Managed Companies” Award Again

In a repeat of their 2020 win, Basler AG has again been awarded the renowned international Axia Best Managed Companies Award, for its excellent corporate management and successful economic development. With this award, the management consultancy Deloitte, together with the magazine WirtschaftsWoche as well as the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V. (Federation of German Industries) and Credit Suisse, honour management excellence and prosperity in medium-sized companies in Germany. The competition is held in parallel in over 30 countries worldwide.

Basler’s Management Board accepted the award together with the company’s founder and current Chairman of the Supervisory Board Norbert Basler. CEO Dr Dietmar Ley said, “We are very proud to receive the award for the second time in a row, especially after a year with major pandemic-related challenges. The award is an incentive for us to further develop the company to continue our success”.

With the award, an expert jury honoured Basler and other medium-sized companies as outstanding, particularly versatile and strongly globally-oriented organizations that exemplify the courage and innovative strength of the German economy. The companies were evaluated in the areas of strategy, productivity & innovation, culture & commitment, and governance & finance. They needed to demonstrate entrepreneurial excellence in all four areas.

“From the development of forward-looking strategies and innovative processes to effective corporate governance structures and a healthy corporate culture, Basler, like all Axia Best Managed Companies Award winners, excels in entrepreneurial excellence and once again sets standards in all key areas of corporate governance”, explained Lutz Meyer, Partner and Head of Deloitte Private.
