Active Silicon, the specialist manufacturer of imaging products and embedded vision systems, has released a new range of powerful machine vision computers.
These vision systems deliver high-speed image acquisition and processing and are built for long-term durability, ensuring reliable performance even in the toughest environments. The Oncilla family of industrial computers features Intel Alder Lake processors, 16GB DDR5 SDRAM memory, multiple expansion options and extensive I/O.
The first models to be released are a CoaXPress and a Camera Link variants and the palm-sized Oncilla Mini. The Oncilla Machine Vision Computer – CoaXPress and the Oncilla Machine Vision Computer – Camera Link encompass, GenICam compliant FireBird frame grabbers, supporting the fastest high-speed, high-resolution cameras. Oncilla systems are designed and thoroughly tested with Active Silicon’s latest software and firmware.
A license for ActiveSDK (Active Silicon’s Software Development Kit which provides comprehensive example applications and optimized libraries) is included. Coupled with the pre-installed ActiveCapture tool for camera and frame grabber control, they enable rapid system development and integration. The Oncilla Machine Vision Computer – Mini supports GigE and USB3 video transmission with a tiny footprint of just 150 x 105 x 52.3 mm. It has been rigorously tested to meet MIL-STD-810H standards, ensuring resistance to shock, vibration, water, and dust ingress.
Oncilla machine vision computers are engineered for longevity, offering an extended product life. Built with robust, long-term-availability components they are designed to withstand challenging industrial environments, provide consistent performance and minimize the need for frequent replacements or upgrades.
These systems are therefore highly suited to applications in automation, industrial, medical and defense sectors. Find out more about these rugged machine vision solutions on the Active Silicon website.
