MVTec Software GmbH announces the inclusion of Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. in the MVTec Technology Partner Program.

All models of the Mitsubishi Contact Image Sensors (CIS) use standard interfaces and are therefore directly compatible with MVTec’s software products. MVTec also provides an interface to Mitsubishi’s MELSEC PLCs. As part of this strategic partnership, these existing measures will now be consolidated under a unified framework to optimize collaboration and ensure the sustainable integration of Mitsubishi products into the MVTec portfolio.

The partners will be showcasing a first highlight of this cooperation at the Battery Show Europe 2024 in Stuttgart, taking place from June 18 to 20. Visitors can experience an impressive demo at the MVTec booth (hall 6, booth E-09), where Mitsubishi’s CIS sensor is used for the inspection of a coated electrode foil. Concurrently, Mitsubishi Electric will demonstrate the performance of MVTec HALCON at their own booth (hall 10, booth H-16), showcasing an application for surface inspection of a coated electrode foil, including edge detection.

“The joining of Mitsubishi Electric in our Technology Partner Program is a significant step for MVTec. With the support of the new CIS sensor and the MELSEC-PLCs, we expand the capabilities of our machine vision software and offer our customers innovative solutions for their challenges in the manufacturing industry,” says Klaus Schrenker, Business Development Manager at MVTec Software.

Jan Friedrich, Business Development Manager CIS Systems at Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V., adds: “The partnership with MVTec enables us to provide our customers with powerful inspection solutions. We look forward to showcasing the fruits of this collaboration live at the Battery Show in Stuttgart.”
