More than 60 industrial companies were involved in the development of a global solution that is independent of location technology. omlox combines all the location services available on the market, including UWB, WLAN, BLE, GPS, and 5G. These are transferred to a uniform coordinate reference system and can be made available for internal use on edge platforms or for global use in a cloud.
The criteria for evaluating the Hermes Award entries include the level of innovation; benefits for industry, environment and society; profitability; and market readiness. An independent jury chaired by Dr Reimund Neugebauer, President of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, will nominate three products for the Hermes Award and determine the winner from this group. Germany’s minister for education and research, Anja Karliczek, will present the award.
