Women in AI will present their very first free startup community event at Wayve Technologies LTD, located in North London, on Thursday 29th September 2022.

Women in AI is a nonprofit working towards a gender-inclusive AI that benefits global society, with a mission to increase female representation and participation in AI.

This event will present an interactive discussion on how AI can help startups scale alongside a panel of industry experts.

  • Oana Jinga – CEO of Bots Are US
  • Florian Richter – CEO of Muddy Machines
  • Naama Zahavi – Product at Wayve

The conversation will hone in on the major challenges that smaller companies face and how AI can help to resolve these and unblock scalability focusing on manufacturing and agtech startups.

The event is taking place at Wayve’s headquarters in London. Founded in 2017, Wayve is on a mission to reimagine autonomous mobility through embodied intelligence. They are the first company to deploy autonomous vehicles on public roads with end-to-end deep learning. Wayve has raised over $258M and is backed by Eclipse Ventures, D1 Capital Partners, Baillie Gifford, Moore Strategic Ventures, Balderton Capital, Virgin, Ocado Group, and prominent technology leaders such as Sir Richard Branson, Rosemary Leith, and Yann LeCun.

“We are delighted to partner with Women in AI (UK) and support their mission to create inclusive AI that benefits society,” said Na’ama Zahavi, Product Lead for Data at Wayve. “It’s important for us to work with organisations that help empower women to become AI & Data experts and innovators. We look forward to being a part of their upcoming event.”

“AI is now at the core of most tech-enabled companies. For large players, it’s predominantly about reinventing their operational model, and for startups it’s an opportunity to efficiently and creatively get ahead of the game,” said Maria Vasileva, Women in AI UK’s Partnerships and Startup Lead. “We are excited to learn from the founders and product owners that are making these critical decisions now and discuss their experience on AI implementation and its potential to influence growth.”
