Now that Automate 2024 has been and gone, let’s reflect on yet another highly successful trade show. Automate welcomed more 800 exhibitors and 35,000+ visitors across four enthralling days in Chicago, IL.
During our time at the event, we visited several booths to learn more about what they were exhibiting. One of those was Components Express (CEI), who presented the Forge iP67 ecosystem which they collaborated on with Teledyne FLIR. We also saw the Forge camera at the Teledyne booth, where we spoke to Manny Romero.
At the CEI booth, their President Ray Berst talked us through the ecosystem on display, and explained CEI’s involvement. He presented a board stack from Teledyne FLIR in an iP67, and pointed out that the issue with board stacks is that people often don’t know how to integrate them. This is where CEI come in, with Teledyne working with CEI to offer the integration with the warranty.
“This has the whole ecosystem around, it which includes the lens covers, index mounts, light bracket, and cables, so we have this all figured out,” Ray Berst said. “The big problem with other iP67 camera companies is they have two size lens covers to choose from. We can make multiple diameters, and we can make any length.”
