At Automatica 2025, Photoneo, now part of Zebra Technologies, introduced two major innovations in 3D vision: the MotionCam-3D Color (Blue) and the PhoXi 3D Scanner Gen3.
Svorad Stolc, Chief Technology Officer, highlighted the MotionCam-3D’s new blue laser projection, enabling high-quality scanning of challenging materials – glossy, dark, or reflective – even in motion. “It’s more versatile and robust than ever,” he said.
Tomas Michalik, Director of Global Key Account Management, emphasized customer-driven development: “Industries like automotive and logistics asked for better resolution, flexibility, and material coverage. Gen3 delivers on all fronts.”
The PhoXi 3D Scanner Gen3 features a 5.1 MP 3D sensor, integrated RGB camera, and a modular design for various fields of view. Both devices now include Autonomous Maintenance, allowing automated calibration and minimal downtime.
The team also demoed advanced bin picking setups using synchronized blue and red lasers to scan complex parts with high accuracy demonstrating why Photoneo is a leader in robotic vision systems.
