OPT offers a wide range of lights, lenses and cameras to improve machine vision performance

While at VISION 2024 last month, we paid a visit to the OPT Machine Vision booth, where we spoke to Marcel Zimmermann, OPT’s Area Sales Manager.

OPT is one of the largest suppliers of lighting solutions for machine vision systems. The company offers more than 30,000 different lighting solutions from a variety of wavelengths.

Marcel walked us through some examples of OPT’s lights, before taking us to their lens section, which offers options from 2 megapixels up to 150 megapixels. Their lens options range from liquid lenses to telecentric lenses.

OPT not only supplies its customers with lighting and lens solutions, but they also offer an array of cameras, from USB to 10GigE.

Marcel concluded by showing us their SmartAxis measurement system, which was released this year. The through-beam measurement sensor comes with dual telecentric high-resolution optical lenses, high-brightness LEDs and a telecentric optical system.
