NET’s latest iam camera provides major boost for food and beverage industries

NET at VISION

Looking back at VISION 2024, we visited the NET (New Electronic Technology) stand. There, we spoke with Jens Will, Business Developer Manager Industrial at NET.

Jens provided some insight into his company’s new iam camera, which is now available in HD wide, and explained which areas can benefit from NET’s latest innovation. The latest iam camera from NET, in conjunction with a short wave infrared sensor, allows its users to see things that would otherwise be impossible.

NET demonstrated the potential uses of this technology by showing how the iam camera can identify liquids in a bottle even when it is impossible to see through the label with a human eye. The demo showed a series of bottles, some filled with water, others a mixture of oil and water, and others empty. The camera was able to accurately identify the liquids in rapid time.

Jens also provided an example whereby it can be used to look inside fruit and vegetables to check for signs of rotting, allowing users to extract from a patch instead of potentially ruining the entire patch.

The system is easy to teach. Users must simply provide good and bad samples, then the technology can perform the sorting based on the samples.
