MVTec Software continues to drive international growth. The Munich-based company is strengthening its presence in China by opening a sales office in Shenzhen.

Already in 2020, a subsidiary was opened in Kunshan, China, near Shanghai. Together with long-term sales partners, MVTec has been active in China since 2005. Initially, two employees from the pre-sales engineering and sales departments will work in the Shenzhen office.

“Our goal is to be close to our customers worldwide in order to address their different requirements individually,” says Martin Krumey, Vice President Sales at MVTec, explaining the opening of the new sales office. “China is already one of our most important markets, so we must ensure the best possible support for our customers on-site. In addition, we still see good growth opportunities in China. That is why we have decided to open another MVTec location in Shenzhen,”

Expansion to get even closer to the customer

MVTec places great importance on providing intensive customer consultation to understand and solve their problems and challenges. The new office in China is therefore a valuable addition to the existing subsidiary in Kunshan.

For optimal customer proximity, MVTec has chosen Shenzhen as the location for its new office. Situated in the heart of the Greater Bay Area, Shenzhen is one of China’s most important industrial hubs, home to numerous Chinese high-tech companies as well as many international IT companies. Two employees with extensive experience in the field of machine vision and automation have been recruited for the position of Pre-Sales Engineer and Sales Manager. This ensures that customers receive the ideal on-site support.

Earlier this year, MVTec opened a subsidiary in France, with the company eager to strengthen their business activities worldwide.
