Laser Components exhibits advanced filters at VISION 2024

During our time at a very enjoyable and successful VISION 2024 in Germany, we were lucky enough to catch up with Laser Components at their booth. To demonstrate what Laser Components has to offer, product manager Kirsten Schuh, took the time to chat with us and help us and our audience gain greater knowledge on what exactly it is that makes Laser Components a stand out organisation in the machine vision market.

Kirsten began our discussion by giving a brief background on Laser Components, stating that the organisation has stuck to its roots of being family owned still today after beginning operations in 1985. Kirsten explained that the Munich based organisation produce several types of product solely by their own effort without any partnership backing, stating that Laser Components produce apds, pulse laser diets, along with several modules. Kirsten then proceeded to present to us the main exhibit, which is a set of skilled filters on display intended to meet the many technological needs of consumers.

The exhibit touches on the benefits that the filters possess, such as a higher optimised image achieved by filtering wavelengths in a certain range along with other aspects such as a choice of housing and integration options. The customer is then provided with the potential to define the range which results in increased quality image with the laser module and camera.

Within the exhibit, Kirsten also presented Laser Components newest product to hit the market. The MV Pulse HD also known as ‘high power’. The product runs by pulsing the laser module so that output powers of up to one watt or a thousand milliwatts, the modules do not have internal cooling so they are reasonably small which ensures that they are a fit for all kinds of applications and systems, not limiting them to a select number. The MV Pulse HD also comes in various different sizes which can be used for sensor integration but also as a stand alone solution.
