At VISION 2024, we spent time at the Kaya Instruments stand, where we spoke to Nathan Cohen, Head of Business at Kaya Instruments.
Nathan began by showing us Kaya’s new Thunderbolt frame grabber, compatible with a range of devices. The Thunderbolt frame grabber can easily receive video streams on the CoaXPress link and transmit them through the PCIe interface.
They also demonstrated the Iron 661, a low-cost, high-resolution IMX661 camera. It can deliver up to 50 Gbps data transfer through the CoaXPress v2.0 interface and supports 127 MP video resolution at up to 22fps.
We were then introduced to Kaya Instruments’ Komodo III product line. The Komodo III starts off with an 8-channel frame grabber, introducing the latest frame grabber technology. It can survive significant lengths of time at up to 50 Celsius.
Lastly, Nathan showed us their new range extender, which is caoable of industrial grade temperatures, both indoor or outdoors. It can add an extra 20m per channel in line and does not require power. The single device can continuously extend CXP 12 up to four times, increasing its users’ distance to up to 80 metres of CXP 12.
