Hello, and welcome to the final issue of MVPro Magazine for 2024! Over the last year, we have brought
you a series of magazines featuring exclusive interviews, industry research pieces, and much more. This digital issue is no different.
This is also the first issue since last month’s highly anticipated VISION show in Stuttgart. We at MVPro Media greatly enjoyed our time at the trade show, where we recorded a host of video interviews, caught up with some familiar faces, and met plenty of new clients who we’re excited to work with in the future.
On the topic of VISION, the first piece in this magazine serves as a roundup of our time at the event, featuring highlights from our interviews with LMI, Specim, MVTec, Zebra, and many more. I also spoke to Florian Niethammer, Head of Exhibitions and Events at Messe Stuttgart, to find out how successful the VISION show was on the whole.
Next, we bring you a piece from MVTec Software, which explains how machine vision can be used to accelerate battery production. To do this, Laserax has developed a system in conjunction with MVTec’s HALCON software.
After that, check out a case study from LUCID Vision Labs. This piece looks at a 3D projection picking system and reveals how it is revolutionising material handling. The solution comes from AIOI Systems, who have produced a Projection Picking System using LUCID’s Helios2 3D ToF camera.
Lastly, Specim reveals how their MWIR hyperspectral imaging technology can help to overcome black plastic recycling challenges. They also outline the environmental and economic benefits of recycling black plastics.
As ever, this issue provides a roundup of industry news. This time, find out about Basler’s new 2k and 4k line scan cameras, the new FRAMOS campus, JAI’s 16k colour trilinear and monochrome line scan cameras, and Leuze’s Simple Vision portfolio.
I hope you enjoy this issue of MVPro Magazine, and look forward to bringing you more in 2025!
