FRAMOS presents the ‘From Sensor to Success’ display at VISION 2024

During our time at an incredibly successful VISION 2O24, we had the opportunity to visit FRAMOS’ booth to meet with Director of Product Management, Nathan Dinning. Nathan took the time to present FRAMOS’ stand out presentation titled ‘From Sensor to Success’, along with a vast range of revolutionary products including particularly interesting developed sensor technologies and how these operate in the machine vision space.

FRAMOS first highlighted their huge impact with Sony, being one of the largest distributors of Sony sensor technology in the Machine Vision market. Offering all ranges of new Sony products from imaging all the way through to a range of sensors, in particular the very special ‘IMX 811’. The sensor is one of the largest developed by Sony, making it a force to be reckoned with. Nathan explained that the sensor is also SLVS-EC compatible, which is a new standard from Sony adding to the sensors impressive features and providing increased operating speeds and a higher percentage of data.

During the presentation, Nathan also pinpointed that FRAMOS also offers the IP core which is 3 auto compatible, highlighting a full journey beginning with a range of Sony sensors in which modules are added, progressing the technology further all the way through to a full embedded product being developed. FRAMOS’ presentation went on to explain that protective housing options are also available, giving a bigger added advantage to protect the sensor modules ultimately resulting in being closer to a full camera as the end result.

The presentation touched on another eye catching element on offer through FRAMOS, known as custom solution in which customers can have their own sensor technology developed uniquely and specifically to meet their own needs and wants. Nathan concluded the ‘From Sensor to Success’ presentation by explaining the final solution, portraying fully the journey from beginning to end that customers can take to find the right products that they are looking for through FRAMOS.
