Chromasens announced it will participate in the upcoming Photonics West exhibition sponsored by the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), scheduled for January 18 to February 2, 2023 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. Chromasens will be exhibiting its comprehensive portfolio of linescan cameras, illumination systems, software and accessories in Booth 5408.

Several new products that expand Chromasens line will be shown at Photonics West, incorporating the company’s decades of expertise producing linescan technologies. As the next generation of its cameras, Chromasens is displaying the new allPIXA SWIR short wavelength infrared camera that helps integrators design systems to see through plastic packaging, find defects during EV battery production, and detect moisture or bruising in fruits, among other imperfections hidden to visible wavelengths. Its state-of-the-art InGaAs sensor is housed in a compact footprint that allows its integration into multiple machine vision applications. Factories can be challenging work environments that contain dirt, vibrating equipment, and heat that can impair cameras. The allPIXA SWIR is IP40 rated demonstrating intrusion protection against foreign bodies and moving objects, and has a rugged metal casing with an operating temperature from -10° C to 50° C.

Among illumination technologies to be shown during the event, Chromasens has its new Corona II LED Combo line lighting module to help customers enhance operational productivity and lower total cost of installation. Instead of using three different illuminations with three cameras it‘s now possible with only one station and one camera, the Corona II LED Combo integrates tube light, dark field and bright field characteristics in one compact module. As a result it significantly reduces system costs, complexity and processing times, all without compromising inspection performance. The scalable lighting solution can be installed in new systems and to upgrade existing ones.

SPIE Photonics West is the world’s premier lasers, biomedical optics and biophotonic technologies, quantum, and optoelectronics event.
