BitFlow will present at this month’s Automatica 2023 exhibition in Munich, Germany. The company will demonstrate its CoaXPress over Fibre (CoF) interface technology between the new BitFlow Claxon Fiber frame grabber and CoF machine vision cameras from Optronis, IO Industries, and other leading manufacturers.

Scheduled for June 27-30, and running in parallel with the Laser World of Photonics tradeshow, Automatica is the leading exhibition for smart automation and robotics. BitFlow will be displaying the Claxon Fiber, along with its full line of multi-channel CoaXpress and Camera Link frame grabbers in Hall B5, Booth 509. In addition, BitFlow will be part of the MVTec Machine Vision Application Tour at Automatica 2023. Tour participants will see firsthand how the Claxon Fiber feeds high-speed images directly into MVTec HALCON software at data rates up to 40 Gb/sec.

Claxon FIber Framer Grabber

The BitFlow Claxon Fiber is a PCIe Gen3 x8 CXPoF board configured with a single port for QSFP+ hot-swappable, parallel fibre-optical/copper transceiver modules. Equipping the Claxon Fiber with a QSFP+ module provides the flexibility of running multi-mode fibre cable up to 150 meters (492 feet) between cameras and the PC, or running single-mode fibre cables a maximum of 40 kilometres (24 miles). Complex, expensive repeaters are not needed in long-distance fibre optic installations, as they are when using copper cables, therefore driving down overall system costs while removing multiple potential points of failure.
