The European Machine Vision Association has announced two more dates for its two-day in-depth EMVA 1288 Certification courses.
The EMVA 1288 Camera Standard certification launched at the end of 2016 to provide the machine vision industry with robust and precise standardisation and is overseen by Professor Dr Bernd Jahre.
Certification enables the individual and their employers the opportunity to promote this to the industry.
Certification is offered in two levels:
User level: Understand and practically apply EMVA 1288 datasheets for camera comparison and selection. Target groups are marketing, sales and general engineering.
Expert level: Set up, perform and interpret EMVA 1288 measurements; target group for this is engineers involved in camera development and/or testing.
The next dates and locations are:
- December 4-5, 2019
- AEON Studios, Hanau, Germany
- March 24-25, 2020
- Framos, Taufkirchen (near Munich), Germany
There are optional 90 minute certification test at the end of each course for EMVA 1288 Expert, which is aimed engineers involved in camera development and/or testing.
The next EMVA 1288 User certification is available on Friday October 25 (14.00-15.30) following the EVE Congress in Stuttgart.
Exam fees are €200 for EMVA members and €250 for non-members.
