Zebra and Clearview Launch Industrial Automation Centre of Excellence

Zebra Clearview Centre of Excellence sign

Zebra Technologies, in partnership with automation specialist Clearview, has inaugurated a new Industrial Automation Centre of Excellence in Oxfordshire, UK. The facility is open to machine builders, system integrators, and end users, providing hands-on training, expert advisory, and live demonstrations of advanced machine vision, AI, and robotics technologies.

A Dedicated Hub for Training and Demonstrations

The Centre will serve as a go-to resource offering structured services, advisory support, and practical demonstrations tailored to manufacturing and logistics organisations. Visitors can experience Zebra’s Aurora vision software, explore 3D inspection technology, and engage with collaborative robotics systems—all with expert support focused on deployment best practices and operational safety.

Garry Lewis, speaking on behalf of Clearview, emphasised its independent advisory role:

“The Centre of Excellence is now open and ready to independently offer advice and support on best practices in machine vision. Whether you are a machine builder, distributor or system integrator.”

About Zebra Technologies & Clearview

Zebra Technologies is a global provider of automation and visibility solutions, known for barcode scanners, mobile computing, and its robust Aurora machine vision platform. It supports high-performance quality inspection in sectors including automotive, logistics, and healthcare. The company is further advancing its vision portfolio through AI and 3D imaging integrations aligned with smart factory goals.

Clearview, based in the UK, specialises in distributing machine vision hardware and sensors while delivering training and deployment services for integrators. The company’s alliance with Zebra reflects its commitment to building expertise and enabling industry-wide adoption of automation technologies.

Targeting Key Industry Challenges

The Centre is designed to address critical barriers to industrial AI adoption including:

  • Limited expertise in AI-powered inspection and 3D vision
  • Lack of unified deployment frameworks across sites and systems
  • Rising demand for scalable automation in high-volume manufacturing

By combining live demonstrations with structured education and expert support, Zebra and Clearview are helping organisations shorten deployment cycles, standardise practices, and deploy automation more confidently.

Global Relevance from a Regional Base

Although located in the UK, the Centre supports global machine vision adoption trends. Manufacturers in North America and Asia face similar demands around quality assurance, throughput, and AI integration. This initiative serves as a scalable model for training and deployment support that can inspire similar resource hubs worldwide.

Enabling Smarter Manufacturing

As Industry 4.0 strategies accelerate, facilities like this Centre play a pivotal role in converting technology innovation into practical factory-floor solutions. By combining education, collaboration, and technology exposure, Zebra and Clearview are helping enterprises globally modernise production, increase quality, and prepare for the future of automation.
